Here are the steps on how to use Turtle Wax's polishing compound: Step 1: Start by washing and drying your car or truck to remove all soils, stains, bug remains, bird droppings, and any other contaminants. Step 2: Apply a small amount of the polishing compound to a foam applicator pad or a soft cloth. Step 3: Rub the compound into a 1’ x 1’ section of the paint surface to be corrected in a cross-hatch pattern, moving in parallel and perpendicular passes across the paint. Step 4: Remove the product with a clean, soft microfiber or terry cloth. Step 5: Check your work to see if the scratches and swirls have vanished. If not, repeat steps 2-4 and check your work again until the surface is scratch-free.

The Turtle Wax heavy-duty paste cleans dull, oxidized finishes, penetrates through the oxidized surface to remove scratches, blemishes, and stubborn stains, and restores faded finishes.
